Spring has finally arrived and with the days becoming longer again it is time for our next newsletter with all the news from Therapeutics.
Different Strokes Charity
Rob Edmondson completed his challenge on Saturday 15th March of abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. We are glad to report that he got to the bottom in one piece. He managed to raise around £400 for the charity Different Strokes which offers invaluable support to many people after a stroke. Thank you to all our clients that sponsored him, the money will be put to good use by the charity.
Physiotherapy
We are very pleased to welcome Gerry Harlow an experienced Neurological physiotherapist to the team here at Therapeutics working alongside Ted Le Brocq, treating a wide range of neurological conditions. Appointments can be booked with Gerry on Mondays from 10am – 2pm starting from Monday 31st March 2014.
New Classes
The Running School which is now based at Therapeutics has some new classes starting over the next month:
Walking For Fitness Group Sessions – ideal for those who do not wish to run but want to enjoy the low impact benefits of tempo walking and conditioning exercises. Classes will run on Wednesdays and Fridays at 11am starting in April.
Kids Dynamic Movement Skills Class – these classes help to refine and improve gross motor skills. Benefits include development of movement, balance and coordination in children. These fun sessions are for children aged 6 – 16years and will run on Saturday mornings 11am – 12pm from April.
