Welcome to the latest edition of our newsletter which updates you with information on our latest services now available at Therapeutics. As well as our core service of physiotherapy, we have a wide range of additional therapies and classes available; all with the aim of providing a complete health and fitness facility.

Physiotherapy
We would like to welcome Paul Gould to the team of musculoskeletal physiotherapists. Paul joined us in March and has quickly become an integral member of our team. He has a specialist interest in Sports Injuries and is currently helping Roz with the Hampshire Cricket 2nd X1. Paul is also a qualified Fitness Trainer.
Anna Molle has joined us in our Neurology Unit to provide a full time service and has already managed to start a Stroke Exercise Class and a Parkinsons Disease Exercise Class.
We would also like to welcome Hazel back from her maternity leave; she will be working part time providing Physiotherapy and Pilates
Massage
We are pleased to welcome Sally Hogg to our team of Massage Practitioners, to enable us to extend the number of hours we can offer massage.
Pilates
We are pleased to welcome Nicky Barfoot to our Pilates team.
Pilates classes are well established 5 days a week progressing levels from beginners, to improvers, intermediates ultimately and advanced classes. There is also a weekly Advanced Ball class to challenge your core muscle strength, balance and co-ordination.
Private Sessions are a great way to focus on your individual needs and we currently offer 1:1 and small group sessions at a special price. These can be booked at a time to suit you.
Pilates is a particularly good form of exercise for sports and spinal problems and we now are offering “Pilates for Pregnancy” classes. Hazel is starting small classes for women (maximum 6) following appropriate medical screening. Please enquire for further information.
All instructors are Body Control trained teachers of the Pilates method.
Studio
The Different Strokes Exercise Class is run weekly for U65 Stroke survivors living in the Southampton area. The class costs £3. Transport is provided for an additional £2.
The Parkinsons Exercise Class is due to commence in August. It will run weekly and be aimed at people with Parkinson’s Disease living in the local area to help improve functional independence.
Gym
The summer sun has brought many new members to the gym. As always, if any members have any queries regarding exercise or nutrition, please do not hesitate to contact Louise via Therapeutics reception. Personal training is available to help you get the most out of your time at the gym – programmes can be designed for your specific needs, whether it be for a ‘beach body’, pre-ski fitness, general conditioning or a particular sport.
Beauty Dimensions
Anne Hume runs Beauty Dimensions at Therapeutics on a part-time basis.
She offers a wide range of beauty treatments, giving advice on appropriate treatments and products to achieve the desired result, together with continued aftercare support.

Charity Day
After postponing the charity mile in May due to the weather, the new date is Saturday 29th July.
We hope to see you there to help with fund raising for the Children’s Unit at St Mary’s Hospital, Portsmouth.
Minibus
The bus is available to any of our clients to enable them to be transported to and from the clinic for treatment, the cost in based on a mileage charge.
